Stroller Strides in West Seattle is celebrating their 1 year anniversary and moving outside to Alki Beach. We will meet this Friday at 9:30am for a FREE Stroller Strides Class. We will have goody bags for everyone (sponsors; West Seattle Runner, FUZE, Snikiddy, PopChips, BabyLegs, Luna, SammySack, Mabels Labels, Stroller Strides and more).

Live from New York, acclaimed children’s entertainer Danna Banana will be putting on an amazing show for children ages birth – 10. Dubbed Best Party Entertainer by New York Magazine, Danna Banana’s concerts and CDs have won raves from the the LA Times (“bright tunes and comic, clever lyrics”) to the NY Post (“ripe talent!”), as well as major family magazines including Parenting, Family Fun, and Nick Jr.

Celebrate the return of colorful migrant songbirds at an International Migratory Bird Day festival that features migration game, shade-grown coffee tasting, a walk to see nesting eagles through a scope, and birdhouse building. Bellevue Arts Museum: Gold Standard - What is an object worth? With this project kids can explore the concept of worth as it relates to Lisa Gralnick: The Gold Standard by applying gold paint to objects visually reflecting the item’s value.1-3pm ($2 materials fee).

Ongoing (SUN) Free Public Sail @ The Center for Wooden Boats
StreetHop into one of the Center for Wooden Boats' fleet of classic sailboats for a free half-hour sail around Lake Union, or take a ride in the 1906 Steam Launch Puffin. The Cast Off! program allows visitors the chance to sail in boats that are too large or too complex to be a part of the Center's regular livery program. Arrive early to sign up; all seats are given out on a first-come, first-served basis. All sails are weather permitting, so call after 12noon to check if there's a question. Also, Help master Haida carver Saaduuts, artist-in-residence at The Center for Wooden Boats, carve a canoe from a 37-foot log.
1 to 4 p.m. Sundays.

Ongoing (SUN) Sunday Ice Cream Cruise
Year round service. This is a 45-50 minute tour of the Lake Union floating homes, a peek at Dale Chihuly's studio, Gas Works Park and the Sleepless in Seattle houseboat. The tour includes a humorous narration of old Seattle and some funky background music.
Whe: Every Sun. Hourly departures from South Lake Union, 11am-3pm
Cost: Adults $11, Seniors $10, Kids 5-13 $7, under 5 $2. Pets OK.
Walk-on only, tickets available on boarding, cash or check only. Ice cream treats, coffee, hot chocolate, tub of tomato soup and soft drinks, $2 to $4.
