(FRI) Abdullahi
After school throughout this school year, when they are not working on their homework or math skills, youth in our White Center tutoring program have been working on various projects involving writing. In the fall they completed personal narratives with accompanying art, and this winter wrote “twisted tales” based loosely on fairy tales they have read. The group of 1st-6th graders chose one of their peers’ twisted tales and cooperatively turned it into a script for the play which they will perform on June 3rd. They will wow the audience with their smiles, dancing, play-fighting and general craziness wrapped in a fascinating story of a White Center boy who goes to the store to get some groceries for his mother.
