adopting a child from foster care: an information meeting

(From Danielle) I noticed that there is an increase of parents with biological children who consider adopting a child to expand their family. I, therefore, take the liberty to spread the word of an upcoming session where you can learn more about adopting a child from foster care.

Amara, an adoption agency based in Madrona, thoroughly explains what the adoption process entails and who the children are who seek adoptive families. There are plenty of opportunities to ask any question you may have. A highlight of the session is having an adoptive family share their experiences and answer your questions.

The information meetings take places on:
Tuesday May 11, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and
Saturday May 22, 10:00 a.m. to noon
at Amara, 3300 E. Union Street, Seattle, WA 98122.

Sessions fill quickly, so please reserve a spot at www.amaraparenting.org or call 206.260.1700.

If you cannot make it but are interested: these sessions are held the second Tuesday of every month and occasionally on Saturdays. We at Amara proudly welcome all kinds of families as adoptive parents and we find families for children of all ages and backgrounds.
