(cheap or free) mother's day ideas!

Many Cold Stone Creamery stores will be giving away a free ‘Creation” sundae to moms on Mother’s Day. I would recommend calling your local store ahead of time to find out if they are participating in this promotion.

TCBY is treating moms and grandmas to free fozen yogurt in a cup or cone on Mother’s Days. Call your local store first to make sure they’re participating. (Thanks, ThriftyNorthwestMom!)

IKEA is treating moms to a free breakfast on Sunday, May 9, 2010. Breakfast includes scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes and a cup of coffee. Call your store ahead of time to see if it is participating. See more information here.

(FRI) Mamas with Cameras Exhibit
Considering that we all can appreciate a beautiful photo of our child (or any child), this “Through the Eyes of a Mother” exhibit is the perfect start to Mother’s Day weekend. There’s an awesome selection of inspiring family photos, many shot by moms who only started using digital SLR cameras a year ago.

Look for chickens along the paths at Bothell’s Country Village, take a train ride through the grounds ($3.50), play in the pirate ship, have a snack in the kid-friendly coffee shop The Village Bean, and pop into shops along the way for paraffin hand dips, massages and other goodies for the moms.
