Celebrate the gorgeous 100-mile stretch of road that starts on Mercer Island and ends in Thorp at Greenway Days, a mashup of outdoorsy events and festivals held at locations along the highway. Geoteaming contests, hikes, Greenway Challenge and more. More than 25 events in Ellensberg, Snoqualmie, Cle Elum, Fall City, Mercer Island, Roslyn, Issaquah, Seattle, North Bend and Bellevue.

Edmonds' granddaddy of an art festival, now in 53rd year, is back at its traditional time, Father's Day weekend. Visit the Kids Creative Corner for cool crafts and a lineup of performers that includes The Bubbleman, and oh, yeah, there are dozens of fine arts and crafts booths for adults to browse, too.

(SAT) Celebrate the solstice with an evening walk, hosted by the Emerald City Wanderers, through Ballard and Shilshole. Twilight will be long, the views will be lovely, and the 5k route is just right for families with strollers. FREE. Saturday, June 19, start between 4-6 p.m.

(SAT) American Heroes Air Show at the Museum of Flight!
Each year we bring in more than a dozen helicopters (17 are scheduled this year) that will be on static display for the public to view, climb in, and talk to their crews. Additionally, we offer helicopter rides for $40 each, so helicopters will be flying by all day for added effect. :)

(SAT) Fall City Days
Live music, watermelon-eating contest, a Duck Derby race, a kiddie and main parade, pony rides and carnival, inflatables and a 3-on-3 b-ball tourney. Directions: Take I-90 to Exit 22. Head north and take a right at the "T" in the road. Follow Preston Fall City Road Southeast to Fall City. Festival is on SR 202 (Southeast Redmond Fall City Road). Part of this weekend's Greenway Days events.

(SUN) Swedish Mid-Summer Festival in Bellevue
You say you love dad AND you love meatballs? Why not combine the two at the Swedish Mid-Summer Festival at Vasa Park? This Sunday, from 9am to 8pm, on the shores of Lake Sammamish in Bellevue, you can celebrate with a pony ride, bouncy house, and a water trampoline, along with a midsummer Maypole, Swedish dancers and singers, and more. And of course, Swedish meatballs. There is a no charge for the event, although there are small fees for food.

(SUN) Crafts for Kids
Spend Father's Day at beautiful Meadowbrook Farm Interpretive Center, making kites, taking a guided nature walk, looking at animal bones, playing with bubbles, and more. It's part of this weekend's Greenway Days events. Directions: Take I-90 Exit 31. Continue through North Bend on SR 202 toward Snoqualmie. Take a right on Boalch Avenue Northwest, and follow for a half-mile to the farm (on the left).

(SUN-TUES) Got Milk?
The "Got Milk”"tour is crossing the country from March thru September & in a few weeks, they will be hitting Seattle & Portland. Their purpose is to encourage parents to serve milk at dinnertime by showing all the benefits & nutrients that milk has to offer. They will have 3 FREE events from June 20 – June 22nd in Seattle.
