(WED) Fox Hollow Farm’s Drop-In Playdate
What: Hang with farm animals, whoosh down the inflatable slide, and more.
Why: Kiddos take turns driving mini trucks and tractors (thank goodness his sixteenth birthday is years away).

(THURS) Creating a Whole and Healthy Family
Alki Arts (2820 Alki Ave SW), 7pm – 8:30pm, is Hosting A FREE WORKSHOP FOR PARENTS Creating a Whole and Healthy Family. This is for parents who are concerned about their kids who may be struggling, or who just want to find out how to assist their children as they begin to traverse the slippery slope of adolescence. SPEND A COUPLE OF HOURS WITH BILL DEAN. Over the last 15 years Bill has worked with thousands of troubled teens, their parents and family members either one-on-one or in groups. He started and ran a very successful school for troubled boys and has assisted hundreds of families to become whole and healthy through his coaching. Come and learn from Bill about his experience in working with youth and families. Ask him questions, learn about a different approach.

What: Eat dinner alfresco while Richard Twist entertains with a bubble show.
Why: With face painting and balloon twisting afterward, tykes may even forget dessert.

Seattle’s favorite saltwater pool will be open this holiday weekend! Kiddos of all ages will love playing in this enormous pool filled with saltwater straight from Puget Sound and maintained at a comfy 82 degrees. Users must pass the swim test and pay a $1 fee to use the Corkscrew slide. Sat.-Mon., noon – 7:00 pm, Seattle, $3.25 to $4.75. Event details.

(SAT) Local Area Hike: Coal Creek Park
Get connected to your local neighborhood park with this 5-mile hike. Rangers will guide you through the soft-surface trails that follow Coal Creek, past waterfalls and through evidence of the area’s coal mining past. (WED) ‘Hood Hunt – Gas Works
A map-based scavenger hunt; answer questions at 20 checkpoints located in half a square mile. A grassroots event, where the participants take turns "hosting" hunts in different Seattle-area neighborhoods. 6 p.m., but you can start early or late if needed.
