Call for artists with a green thumb! In celebration of the Wildflower Week, KiDiMu invites families for a week of fun with sunflowers and gardening. From Tuesday through Sunday, enjoy a special craft: decorate a pot and plant your own sunflower seed. On Friday (weather permitting), MAY 13, join us for a special MESSY FRIDAY workshop at 10:30 a.m. - help make KiDiMu’s yard even more beautiful and plant sunflower seeds! Details: Treehouse can put your group of a dozen or fewer people to work in the Wearhouse, a unique store where foster children shop for free for new and used clothing and other essentials. Volunteers sort, tag and restock merchandise, and they help foster kids and their caregivers during shopping hours. Volunteers contribute over 500 hours per month to the Wearhouse; thanks to volunteer power, more than 2,000 foster children shop at Treehouse each year for the things they need and want.
Special Requirements: On the day of service, you will receive a brief tour and introduction to Treehouse services before you get to work. All Treehouse volunteers are required to pass a background check and complete a volunteer waiver (minors needs a parent/guardian signature).

(SAT) Ready to Roll Bike Safety Open House
Firefighters will lead tours of the fire engine and medic unit, talking about the tools and gear they use. Refreshments and information about a variety of safety topics will also be available during the open house. Children are encouraged to bring their bicycles and helmets to ride through the Ready to Roll safety skills course. Bicycle helmets and multi-sport helmets custom-fit by firefighters will be available (suggested donation $7-$10 to cover helmet costs). Children who complete the course and promise to wear a helmet every time they ride will receive a prize.
