Chinese New Year this year is on February 3, and starts the Year of the Rabbit. To celebrate, head to Sammamish City Hall on Saturday, February 5, from 1-6pm. MathFest 2011! at Crossroads Mall
So, you were saying to yourself, why aren't there any good celebrations of arithmetic and calculators? No more! This Saturday, February 5, from noon to 4pm, join in the festivities at Crossroads Mall in Bellevue during MathFest 2011! (FRI) Friday Family Story Hour
Story hour for ages 5 and younger and their parents/caregivers features a guest reader each week. 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Fridays Jan. 21 through Feb. 18. This is a weekly early childhood reading program that makes story time accessible for small children and their caregivers, provides a sense of community, and is blast! Story Hour gives learners kindergarten readiness skills that encompass physical, social/emotional learning, cognition, and language/literacy. Its engaging, family-oriented format includes storytelling that uses flannel boards, drama, and music.

(SAT) 'The Secret Garden' at The Seattle Public Library/Ballard
Book-It Repertory Theatre presents 'The Secret Garden' at The Seattle Public Library Feb. 5. Book-It Repertory Theatre will present a theatrical performance of Frances Hodgson Burnett's "The Secret Garden" from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 5
The Seattle Public Library, Ballard Branch, 5614 22nd Ave. N.W.. The program is free and open to the public. No registration is required. Parking is available in the Central Library garage at the $6 weekend rate. "The Secret Garden" tells the story of a young English girl who finds the key to a secret garden. The preview is part of Book-It Repertory Theatre's Book-It All-Over program, an educational outreach dedicated to inspiring people of all ages to read. The play is adapted for grades K-8.
