The Northwest Railway Museum is honoring grandparents Sept. 11-12 with a Grandparents Grand Excursion: grandparents ride the Snoqualmie Valley Railroad free with a paying grandchild of any age. The current train route is between North Bend and Snoqualmie, WA (the trip to the Falls is temporarily suspended); you can board in either town, get off at your turnaround point if you want for ice cream or poking around town or the Museum, and then head back to your starting point: http://www.trainmuseum.org/Trains.asp
