And what better place to have this celebration than at one of Seattles newest venues; 415 Westlake. A distinctive northwest venue located in the emerging South Lake Union neighborhood.

Mercer Island Preschool Association brings the carnival fun (for the 44th year!) this weekend - little ones can ride ponies, get their faces painted, jump on inflatables, and compete for pint-sized prizes in the cupcake walk. The MIPA Circus is held at Mercer Island High School - the location was previously reported as Island Middle School, but it ain't so.

(SUN) Swamp Mystery for Kids
Kids are invited to become Junior Animal Detectives and search for clues to an exciting animal mystery at Yesler Swamp, next to the Center for Urban Horticulture. They’ll be entertained with games and comedy antics by a cast of fun characters as they learn about swamp wildlife. Kids and parents should come dressed for walking on an occasionally muddy trail. Ages 3 and older. 10 to 11 a.m. or 1 to 2 p.m. Pre-registration appreciated.

(SUN) Free Public Sail @ The Center for Wooden Boats
1010 Valley StreetHop into one of the Center for Wooden Boats' fleet of classic sailboats for a free half-hour sail around Lake Union, or take a ride in the 1906 Steam Launch Puffin. The Cast Off! program allows visitors the chance to sail in boats that are too large or too complex to be a part of the Center's regular livery program. Arrive early to sign up; all seats are given out on a first-come, first-served basis. All sails are weather permitting, so call after 12n to check if there's a question.
