Olympic Day (introduced in 1948 to commemorate the birth of the modern Olympic Games) is celebrated all around the world. Over the last two decades, the event has helped to spread the Olympic ideals to every corner of the world.

(FRI) Fire Department Day
This is the 14th annual summer safety kickoff at the museum. Fire equipment will be on display (kids can climb aboard, too), local firefighters will be on hand for a meet-and-greet, and kids can visit the Safety Zone to learn basic safety info. It all happens in the museum east parking lot, and it's free (a visit to the museum is optional and is still regular price).

(WED) Farm Gardening at Kelsey Creek Farm
Get down and dirty on Wednesday! Head to Kelsey Creek Farm for some kid-style farming. Everyone gets to pick some seeds, plant them, and take them home to see how they grow. When you are done, you can walk around the farm, see some animals, and just have some country-in-the-city fun! It all happens on Wednesday, June 29 from 11:00 to 11:30 am. All ages are welcome, parents need to stay with their kids.
