Come spend the morning helping Friends of the Cedar River Watershed restore critical habitat for spawning salmon and other wildlife at King County Parks, Cavanaugh Pond Natural Area. Afterward, enjoy our other workshops and activities including: Fly fishing lessons and instruction, casting and tying demonstrations for beginners and the avid angler--extra equipment available for beginners!
Guest presentations by fisheries biologist, Aaron Bosworth from WDFW and Cam Sigler, guide for local and destination saltwater fly fishing. Stream insect identification labs. Smoked salmon and catered lunch will be provided. Don't miss this fun, educational, interactive event for all ages and angles!

(SAT) Architecture 101 Workshop
An architectural studio workshop will be offered on the subject of Monuments. We will look at monuments around the world and discuss why we build monuments. There will be discussion on what is important to us as individuals, as a community, as a country and as world citizens. We will also talk about what gives a monument the appearance of importance, whether it is it's size, location, it's artistic form or other factors. The students will then have an opportunity to design and build a monument in model form.
