(SAT) The Great Seattle Fire Day
Your little firefighter will love everything about this fire-safe event, from Henny the Arson Dog to Captain Baer of the Seattle Fire Department to activities highlighting historical firefighting methods. Plus, local firefighters and museum staff will be on-hand to teach you and your kiddos about home fire escapes. Sat., 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. Seattle. Free. All ages.

(SAT) Rainier Valley Co-op Fall Festival
Get a super-big dose of fall fun at this community festival. Enjoy a DJ dance party, live music by Eli Rosenblatt, bike parades (on the hour!), hot dogs, and a bake sale. Plus, there will be plenty of games for the kiddos, a recycled toy shop, a treasure hunt in the sandbox, and face painting. All proceeds from the festival will support the Rainier Valley Co-op Preschool. Sat., 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Seattle. Costs vary per activity. All ages.

(SAT) Green Halloween Costume Swap
Always purchased new costumes? This year, SWAP! National Costume Swap Day is October 8th, so before heading to the big box store, participate in the local Orange Blossom Society costume swap. Bring in your gently used costumes (& accessories) and receive a token to choose a new-to-you costume to wear this Halloween. Orange Blossom Society and Whole Foods in Redmond will offer drop-off locations for gently used costumes. Drop-off dates and hours will be:

(MON) Toddler Drop in Program for children with developmental disabilities
Enjoy a dedicated play space filled with lots of children’s toys
and books. It’s a great way for your child to learn and
socialize with other children and play in a safe, fun, and
interactive space with balls, ride-ons, and many educational
toys. This program is for children from birth to 5 years old
with mild to severe disabilities. Siblings of children are
welcome if less than five. Parents must stay with children
at all times while in the space.
