SAM family festival

(SAT 5/15) Mark your calendars for a FREE family festival celebrating fame, fun and the opening of Seattle Art Museum's new shows about Andy Warhol and Kurt Cobain. Check out live music, art making, karaoke, kids tours, photo-booths, dancing, face-painting and more. Coming dressed as a rock star is HIGHLY encouraged!

Live performances by Caspar Babypants and Harmonica Pocket. Plus, sign up to sing in Andy Warhol Organ Karaoke! This will also be the closing weekend of the Seattle Public Schools student art show.

Children 12 and under get FREE admission to SAM galleries with adult parents/caregivers (Adult admission is by suggested donation).

11:00am— Caspar Babypants (Brotman Forum)
Noon — Harmonica Pocket (Brotman Forum)
12:30pm:Andy Warhol Organ Karaoke (South Hall)
1:30pm: Storytime (Knudsen Family Room) Hear a great tale about Andy Warhol and some cool cats called the Sams in the book Uncle Andy’s Cats, written by Andy’s nephew, James Warhola.
2pm: Vicious Puppies Breakdancing Crew and Naramore Art Show High School Awards Ceremony (Brotman Forum. The Vicious Puppies will kick off the high school awards ceremony for the Seattle Public Schools annual student art show, now called the Naramore Art Show, which closes this weekend.

Kids Tours
1:00pm: Gallery tour led by Caspar Babypants. Tour meets by the cars in the South Hall, at the "Tour" sign.
